This program is designed for aspiring Interaction Designers (IxD’s) who want to learn how to design best of breed digital products.
This is a program is industry sponsored program, where the industry partner subsidizes the program fees — in return for an employment commitment with the sponsor.
Selection is based on an entrance exam and subsequent nomination from the program sponsor.
Design Apprentices will learn and leverage the principles of system thinking to logically deconstruct a design problem, and identify effective solutions for it.
Apprentices will learn how to effectively do IxD for multiple experiences such as dashboards, forms, search results pages, user assistance systems, user on-boarding, reports, etc.
They will learn all this in the context of user data.
Apprentices will learn the IxD trends as they relate to the latest mobile technologies like iOS and Android. They will also be able to design across multiple form factors such as Tablets, Mobile or Web Responsive.
Here, the Apprentice will learn the basics of visual design, and will be able to leverage concepts such as color theory, typography and layouts to deliver world class designs.
This is a Full time 6 month intensive program. As part of this, the Apprentice will be expected to complete 3+ projects.
On average in any given week, there will be 4 hours of instruction and 40 hours of practical work.
Selection is based on the performance of the candidate in the recruitment exam which is followed by an interview for those candidates who successfully cleared the entrance exam conducted by UXReactor.
